Frequently asked questions
How are the corners rounded?
Every corner gets a circular cut based on your radius, and the edge pixels are blended over one pixel for a smooth border instead of a jagged staircase. Outside the rounded shape the pixels become fully transparent.
Is this a lossless edit?
Yes — only the alpha channel changes. The colors inside the rounded shape are copied pixel-for-pixel, and the output is a PNG, so repeated edits do not degrade quality.
Why does the preview look white around the corners?
The transparency checkerboard depends on where you view it: the download has real transparent pixels there. If a website shows the rounded PNG on a white background, the corners will look white — that is the background showing through, not a white fill.
What is the biggest radius allowed?
Half of the smaller side. Beyond that the shape stops being a rounded rectangle, so the slider clamps there automatically.
Does this upload my picture?
