What is CPS in a click speed test?
CPS stands for clicks per second — the number of times you can fully click your mouse or tap your screen in one second. The test divides your total clicks by the duration you choose, so a 10-second test with 62 clicks is a CPS of 6.2.
What is a good CPS score?
With a regular mouse and one finger, most people score between 4 and 7 CPS. Scores of 8+ are genuinely fast, and 10+ usually requires special clicking techniques. For a fair score, use a single finger and no software assistance.
How can I click faster?
Relax your hand, keep your arm supported and practise short regular sessions. Some players use advanced techniques like jitter or butterfly clicking, but plain, controlled clicking improves a lot on its own with practice.
Are auto-clickers allowed?
No. The whole point of the test is your own finger speed — auto-clickers and macros defeat it and are trivially obvious in the score curve. Play fair and compare honestly with your friends.
Does my mouse affect the result?
A little. Lighter switches and a comfortable grip can add a fraction of a CPS, but consistency and technique matter far more than hardware. Touchscreens typically score slightly lower than a mouse.
