Frequently asked questions
Does rotating upload my image anywhere?
No. All rotations and flips happen on a canvas in your own tab. Files never leave your browser, and nothing is stored after you close the page.
What is the difference between the 90° buttons and the free angle?
The 90°/180° buttons rotate losslessly — pixels just move to new coordinates, so quality is untouched. A free angle needs interpolation, and the corners of the rotated image are filled with transparent pixels because no source data exists there.
Why did my rotated image get bigger?
A 30° tilt no longer fits in the original rectangle: the tool expands the canvas to the rotated bounding box so nothing is cut off. Rotate in 90° steps if you want the size to stay the same.
Can I combine operations?
Yes — every button applies to the current state, so you can flip horizontally, then rotate 90°, then tilt 5°. Use Clear to start over with the original file.
Which format is the download?
PNG, losslessly. It also keeps the transparency that free-angle rotation produces in the corners.
