How does this retirement calculator work?
It takes your date of birth plus a retirement age you choose and returns the exact retirement date — the birthday on which you reach that age — along with the number of days and years from today. It is a simple date calculation, not a pension forecast.
What retirement age should I enter?
Use whatever applies to you: 65 is the traditional benchmark in many countries, full Social Security benefits in the US start between 66 and 67 depending on birth year, and many pension systems now move toward 67. Enter the number your own plan or country uses.
Why doesn’t this tool estimate my pension payout?
Pension amounts depend on national rules, contribution history and plan type — there is no single formula that is honest across countries. This tool deliberately sticks to the dates, which are universal.
Can I enter a retirement age in the past for an older person?
Yes. If the retirement date has already passed, the calculator says so and shows how many days ago it was reached instead of a countdown.
Is my birth date stored anywhere?
